Installing insulation material may sound simple to a lot of people (simply adding soft, fluffy, or foamy materials in between spaces). But it actually requires an expert to do it properly. ODT has the expertise and tools needed to examine your building insulation needs. And our trained technicians provide the most suitable service your building deserves, which includes thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, energy auditing, retrofitting, and consulting services.
A lot of clients express their frustration with insulation services that fail to keep room at an optimal temperature consistently during extreme temperatures. However, we have redefined this experience by providing them with a reliable thermal insulation service that prepares properties ahead of temperature extremes and provides lasting comfort. We use high-quality insulation material that best solves a property's thermal challenges and install them at the right places correctly. We also provide clients with frequent updates and maintenance tips that will make insulation last longer.
However, our thermal insulation service extends beyond insulating both commercial and residential properties; we also help industrial areas keep their spaces at an optimal temperature during any weather condition, like the cold winter and hot summer. We have proudly served industrial spaces like flex properties, warehouses, stores, pharmaceutical buildings, and more.
Car honks, conversations between rooms and floors, and foot traffic can be frustrating. These unwanted sounds compromise the comfort and peace you seek. ODT provides you with solutions to keep your space safe from this distractive noise. Our technicians understand the physics behind how sound travels within different rooms and structures, and they are ready to provide you with effective acoustic insulation that fits any kind of space, be it residential, commercial, or sound-sensitive spaces like theaters, concert halls, or recording studios.
For sound-sensitive spaces, we often employ comprehensive or complex insulation strategies compared to smaller or enclosed spaces to improve their quality of sound.
Over time, insulated buildings may not be able to keep room temperature at optimal, and this mostly happens when their insulating properties start to age or become damaged as a result of factors like pest infestation, moisture, and rough handling, among others. Once insulation is no longer effective, it is ideal they are replaced.
Our technicians are experienced and put safety practices into consideration during retrofitting. They remove damaged and aging insulation materials quickly without compromising the air quality of your space and fix any issues that could make new insulation not work effectively. Then watch as our insulation replacement service provides you with lasting comfort.
If part of your room no longer maintains optimal temperature consistently, rather than replacing your insulation, it's better to conduct an energy audit of your entire building to ensure you get notice of air leaks. For an accurate energy audit, hire ODT experts to thoroughly evaluate the energy efficiency of your property.
With our Energy Audit service, we employ our skills and tools to provide you with an overview of how energy is used within your building. ODT were professional and perfect with their services. I had so many questions about acoustic insulation, and they happily walked me through each strategy and factor they considered before installing insulation to improve sounds.
During the crawl space insulation, they discovered issues with our ductwork that previous contractors had completely missed. They solve the problem and recommend how to improve our HVAC efficiency.
I never thought of insulation as an important thing until ODT changed that for me. Their energy audit opened my eyes to how much energy I was wasting and developed a solution that keeps my home more comfortable.
The Lewiston area traces its roots to 1669 with the early presence of the Androscoggin tribe (the namesake of the county in which the city resides). In the late 18th century, in 1795, Lewiston was incorporated as Lewistown. The presence of the Androscoggin River and Lewistown Falls made the town an attractive area for manufacturing and hydro-power businesses. The rise of Boston rail and textile tycoon Benjamin Bates saw rapid economic growth rivaling that of Cambridge, Worcester, and Concord. Irish immigrants were recruited to build the railroad links and dig the canals for the textile mills. The Irish stayed, and worked the mills and established flourishing businesses, as evidenced by the McGillicuddy, Callahan, and other Blocks and the St.Joseph's and St.Patrick's churches. In the 1850 Census Lewiston was fully 23% Irish born. The increase in economic stimulus prompted thousands of Quebecers to migrate, causing a population boom; the populace rose from 1,801 in 1840 to 21,701 in 1890. In 1855, local preacher Oren Burbank Cheney founded the Maine State Seminary, the first coeducational university in New England and one of the first universities to admit black students before the Emancipation Proclamation. Lewistown quickly became associated with the liberal arts and was incorporated as "Lewiston" in 1864, a year before the college was chartered as Bates College.
